Media is a very powerful ally. Control this and anyone can make people eat off their feet. I’m not against the Aquino’s, I still believe that they have contributed a lot of good to our country. But the idea that they have planted, and the obvious mind-control they are using over the uneducated, and ignorant Filipinos makes this country no different from the Marcos and the Erap era of the country.
Let us be rational and be truly informed of what is really going on around us.
One good example, and the main topic of this entry, of the media’s power is the case of the former president GMA. Yes I agree that she has done a lot of misdeeds (in my opinion it’s all Joker Arroyo’s fault) but we fail to see what good she has done to our country. (One example is our economy during her period as president, after most of the Asian countries have sunk, the Philippines manage to keep a steady pace in her economy.) Now that she is sick she seeks remedy outside the country which our government didn’t allow her to go cause of her pending cases. But why? I mean heal the person first, then judge her after The government’s decision makes me pity them cause I thought they couldn’t go any lower, but they did. Let’s put the bible into the situation, shall we? Let’s take John 8:2-11 we all know how the story goes that there was a woman who had been caught in adultery and was about to be stoned to death and Jesus comes to help her and says “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” I say that to the government who has denied a person of her right to life, to be healed. It kind of ironic that the gov’t said that they are pro-life and revoked the RH bill and made this decision against GMA.
We all see the faults and the lies but we forget the goodness of a person.
Let us be clear that I’m not pro-GMA nor that I am pro-Noynoy, I am just relaying what I see, hear, and feel about the situations in our country and that all of this is based on my opinion.
